"And the stars are projectors, yeah, projecting our lives down to this planet Earth." - Modest Mouse
While I'm on the Crowley tip today (much thanks to Lashtal.com), here's a link to a fine gallery of portraits. Reading Perdurabo has definitely given me a lot more to think about Uncle Al. What a bastard! Crowely was a self-absorbed, egotistic madman who could slip effortlessly into amazing acts of selflessness and gallantry. But above all, his life was always driven by the desire to bring Thelema to the world, to interpret every event of his life as a dealing of the Absolute with his Soul. An incredibly paradoxical and larger-than-life figure, Crowley has indisputably contributed more than anyone else to the canon of western mysticism.
