The monster music fest known as Glastonbury will employ a machine designed by persecuted doctor, Wilhelm Reich, to battle the dreary British weather.
As rainclouds swept over the West Country, threatening to once more turn the festival's many fields into a swamp, organiser Michael Eavis unearthed from his farmyard an "Orgone Cloudbuster" built for him by hippies in 1971.
"It's made out of crystals and moving water and they pointed it at clouds and chanted, so the clouds would empty on someone else's land," said a spokesman for the 33-year-old event on Wednesday.
